Synopsis

As Sutton arrives back in Phoenix, her friends and family plan her birthday bash for Emma. Emma is afraid that her days with the Mercers are numbered, so she decides to be honest with them. However, when she begins an emotional speech with her new family, she can't bring herself to tell the truth.

When Sutton arrives home, she finds Emma's birthday dress. Angry, she pretends to be Emma to lure both Ethan and Emma to the cabin that night. Meanwhile, Derek arrives at Char's to apologize, but the police arrive, saying they received an anonymous tip about his car. Laurel visits Justin at driving range and asks him to come to the birthday party with her, but he tells her he might not make it.

Later at the cabin, Ethan arrives and greets Sutton (thinking she is Emma) with a kiss, right when the real Emma walks in. Sutton threatens to expose Emma and yells at her for highjacking her life. Although Emma promises she just wanted to know Sutton as her sister, Sutton leaves to go to the party and expose her. Emma tells Ethan she must leave Phoenix immediately and goes to the bus station.

As Sutton is driving to her party, a mysterious figure attacks her from the back seat, and the car drives into a lake. Emma phones Lexi and tells her that she will be returning, but Lexi convinces her that she should stand up to Sutton and stay.

Emma rushes to the party and has a romantic reunion with Ethan, but Sutton is a no show. They are interrupted when Sutton's friends ask for Emma to give a speech. She tears up and is ready to confess when she sees someone snooping around outside. Ditching the confession, she rushes outside, followed by Kristin. There, they meet Annie.
