After their magical night at homecoming, Ethan decides to break off his relationship with Sutton in order to be with Emma. Also, Laurel realizes that she doesn't know much about Justin, and so she invites him and his parents to dinner with her family. When Justin avoids the invitation, Laurel discovers that he ran away from his foster parents' home. Eduardo and Alec face off over Mads, resulting in Eduardo planning to leave town -- but before he gets far, a near-fatal car accident lands him in the hospital. Meanwhile, in Los Angeles, Thayer tries to tell Sutton how he feels about her.
