When SVU raids an underage sex party full of city officials and two detectives, Vice claims they derailed a two-year undercover operation. SVU questions the Vice detectives about their target, but they are tight-lipped, asserting their right to protect their investigation. Among the subjects SVU questions, a woman perceived as the madam of the young teens claims to be a nun, Sister Nina, working undercover to free the teens, a story backed up by another nun, Sister Ida, at a halfway house. Ida also connects SVU with Cara, a teen Nina saved who tells them the Vice detectives repeatedly raped her at sex parties like the one they raided.

IAB Captain Tucker (Robert John Burke) tells Benson (Mariska Hargitay) he's received complaints about the detectives before, and upon questioning them, they claim the teen is lying. In an attempt to find out how the girls got caught up in the ring, Tucker talks to his cousin, a priest and psychologist at the girls' school. After their discussion, Cara's found dead, overdosed on a bad hit of heroin, and Tucker thinks his cousin had something to do with it. Convinced the ring has friends in the church and is run by members of Vice, Benson shelters Nina in her home. Nina discloses she thinks Tucker's cousin is part of the prostitution ring.

Barba (Raul Esparza) receives a visit from Monsignor Patrick, an official at the teens' school, who claims Tucker received information about Vice pimping some of the teens from the school and did nothing about it. When Benson defends Tucker, Barba asks if Tucker and Benson are romantically involved, which she can't deny. Shortly after, Benson is taken off of SVU, and Tucker finds out he's the new target of the Internal Affairs investigation of the prostitution ring.
