Kim approaches a meter maid ticketing her car after putting a boot on it. The meter maid tells Kim she has $700 in parking tickets, then asks her if she remembers her from high school. Kim doesn't. She tells Kim she wasn't nice to her. Kim says she wasn't nice to a lot of people so that's not a huge clue. Finally, it dawns on her. It's Marjorie Zichelin, who Kim used to tease about her dandruff. Kim asks "Marlene" if she'll take the boot off. Marjorie says no, telling Kim she has to pay up. Kim asks what she ever did to her. Marjorie says a lot, detailed in pages 47-53 in her diary.

Kim asks Craig to pay her parking tickets. He can't afford it, but remembers painting a gnome with Marjorie in high school and says he'll talk to her. Kath and Phil come in after exercising. Kath complains about insomnia, a foreign concept to Kim, who can sleep anywhere, anytime. Phil says Kath should talk to Athena Scuberman, his life coach who helped him lose weight. Kim orders Kath some sleeping pills she saw on an infomercial, which result in Kath feeling comatose. Phil asks who parked the car in the yard, triggering Kath's flashbacks of a sleeping pill-induced wild night out. Phil tosses the pills and takes her to Athena.

Craig approaches Marjorie on the job. Marjorie, who clearly has a crush on Craig, is thrilled to see him. He asks if she remembers painting the gnome together. Giddy, Marjorie pulls the gnome out of her parking trolley and shows it to him, cradling it like a baby. Craig tells her that he married Kim, which temporarily crushes Marjorie until he adds that they're separated. Craig asks her to take the boot off. "I can take more than my boots off," Marjorie kids, giggling. Marjorie says she'll remove the boot if he goes on a date with her. To Craig's disgust and surprise, Kim is all for it.

Athena shows Kath some ink blots and asks what she sees in them. Kath sees a wedding dress, invitation and cake. Athena says she's sweating the small stuff and they have a lot of work to do. Athena's fully booked, so Phil gives up his appointments. He swears he'll be fine. Later, as Kath pastes together her positivity board, it's clear Phil misses his appointments. Kath offers to give them back, but Phil insists she keep them. After Kath leaves, he opens the fridge to see some tantalizing chocolate cake. He shuts the door, saying, "Philip Leslie Knight. No."

On their date, Marjorie remembers her encounters with Craig with stalker-like recall. Craig's haircuts, the time they talked. She edges closer to him as he scoots away, then tries to plant a kiss on him. Craig freaks and says he's got to go. But first, what about the boot? Marjorie says, "Long story short, I can't help you there. I checked." Of course, she forgot to mention this to Craig before their date, and he's back to square one.

Kath enters the bedroom, ready for a night of passion. Phil, with the sheets pulled to his chin, needs a glass of water. He opens the fridge and there sits the heap of chocolate cake. He can't resist anymore, and takes a huge chunk of it and stuffs it in his face.

Athena announces that Kath is healed; her aura doesn't lie. Craig tells Kim that Marjorie can't remove the boot. Kim accuses him of cheating on her and feigns tears, manipulating him into doing one more thing for her. Phil continues to resist food temptations as Craig tries to bust the boot off Kim's car. Marjorie pulls up and tells Kim it's a $300 fine for tampering with a boot and she can impound the vehicle. "Or, the boy toy can ride with me." Kim tells Craig he's going on a ride.

Kath and Kim arrive home to find Phil sitting in the dark, eating pie from a salad bowl. He confesses that he's a fat person. He has fat thoughts, dreams and an appetite. He used to eat 18,000 calories a day. Kath says he should have told her, and that he can have his appointments with Athena back. She's healed anyway. As Phil calls Athena, Kath says Phil doesn't look a pound heavier. She wonders where those 18,000 calories went. Kim laughs as she sees Phil's backside, which has blossomed considerably since his falling off the wagon.

Their lives back in balance, Kath and Kim lounge outside, scanning the gossip rags. They comment on the bad beach pictures of celebs, then discuss Jessica Simpson's disappointing movie career. Kim thinks "Employee of the Month" sucked. Kath says it's not Jessica's fault; it was a very disappointing script. Kim agrees. It's all in the writing.
