Pregnant or not, Mary Shannon has never been very good at unwinding. Which is why, in an attempt to force relaxation on her, Stan and Marshall hatch a plan to get her out of town. With Oscar riding shotgun, Mary heads into the desert to deliver a message to one of Marshall's witnesses, a new age alpaca farmer who just might have some insight to offer into Mary's current situation. And with a file full of prospective adoptive parents and some tough decisions to make, Mary could certainly use a little guidance, even if she is reluctant to heed the advice of a New Mexico mystic. Or a dog.
Meanwhile, Marshall and Stan are forced to tackle the crisis of Mary's witnesses Britt and Kenna, a feuding mother-daughter duo. It's the usual teenager-rebelling-against-a-controlling parent routine, except for the minor fact that Kenna, a former teen rock star who witnessed a murder, is being hunted by some very bad guys who would very much like to see her dead. While blue-streaked hair and a spot on a local choir don't seem like the end of the world, Kenna's seemingly minor acts of teenage rebellion constitute major security breaches-and just might be leading killers right to her doorstep.
