Harper's Island Episode 1.08 Gurgle

In wake of the recent murders, the guests at The Candlewick Inn head for the marina to catch the ferry off the island. Shea can't find Madison so Henry and what's left of the wedding party split up and help her with the search. Shea, Trish, Cal and Chloe check the incinerator room and discover a bloody hand print and an adult skull inside, ruling it out as Madison's. Henry, Abby and Katherine find the body of Richard, speared to a tree. As they're looking at Richard's lifeless body, Abby receives a phone call from Madison. Madison tells Abby that if anyone leaves the island, she'll die. They head back to the Candlewick and discover that both their cell phones and the land lines are inoperative. Then the power goes out as well, leaving them all in darkness. Danny and Henry are able to start the emergency generator and regain power at the inn. When they return, they discover that Sully, Beth, Chloe and Cal have headed down to the pier to find a boat off the island. At the jail, Sheriff Mills questions J.D. about the murders. He asks him why Cole Harken visited Abby. Still claiming his innocence, J.D. tells the Sheriff where Cole lives and to ask him himself. En route to Cole's cabin, Sheriff Mills steps on a trap and a wooden spike plunges into his leg. Before losing consciousness, Sheriff Mills sees the face of Cole Harken before him. Back at the jail, as the guard breaks up a fight between Shane and J.D., the lights go out. When they come back on, Shane and J.D. discover the guard lying on the floor, dead. Seeing the keys next to the guard's lifeless body, J.D. reaches for them, unlocks his cell and escapes, leaving Shane behind in lock up. The Sheriff awakes and finds himself in Cole Harken's cabin. Cole and the Sheriff discuss their past and John Wakefield's return. Cole gives Sheriff Mills, John Wakefield's journal that he wrote while he was in prison. Cole tells the Sheriff that Abby is the reason Wakefield is back and she has to leave the island. Knowing that the Sheriff needs medical attention, Cole goes for help but doesn't get very far. As he exits the front of the cabin, he is felled by two arrows. As he lay dying, Cole drops the lantern in his hand, setting himself and the cabin on fire. Jimmy and Abby arrive at the cabin in time to pull Sheriff Mills to safety. The Sheriff asks Jimmy and Abby to take him to the marina. When they arrive, the Sheriff begs Jimmy to get Abby off the island. But Abby tells her Dad that she's not going anywhere. Sully runs up to their truck and alerts them that J.D. has escaped and he's somewhere in the marina. Abby, Jimmy and Sully split up to search the dock. Abby finds J.D., bleeding badly from knife wounds. She asks J.D. who did this to him. He replies, "It's you Abby. It's all about you Abby," and dies. Abby turns around to see Henry, standing above her, crying, his hands covered in blood.
