When a devastating drought hits Portland, some Wesen take it upon themselves to bring back a gruesome ritual believed to cause rain. Nick (David Giuntoli), Hank (Russell Hornsby) and Wu (Reggie Lee) find the first victim in a barn - a homeless man who is gorged and pinned to a cross. After a second similar victim turns up, Nick and Hank visit Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) and Rosalee (Bree Turner) and learn about the Fuilcre, ox-like Wesen that were nearly eradicated for performing human sacrifices. With a little help from Adalind (Claire Coffee), the gang learns seven bodies must be offered up and that their locations will form the Big Dipper. Using the locations of the first three bodies, the gang figures out where the rest will be placed. Three more bodies are found by local authorities, giving Nick, Hank and Wu the chance to prevent the final sacrifice. They arrive just in time to stop Duncan Fargo, a local lumberyard owner, from killing his seventh victim, but they shoot him dead to do it. His bloodshed ends up completing the ritual, and, soon after, rain pours down from the sky.

Hadrian's Wall, meanwhile, learns that a Black Claw ally has arrived in Portland. Meisner, Eve (Bitsie Tulloch) and Trubel (Jacqueline Toboni) invade a Black Claw hideout and take a prisoner to learn more. Following a horrific interrogation where Eve seals his eyes, ears and mouth shut, the man reveals the identity of Black Claw's leader: Lucien Petrovitch.
