Not all of Portland's Wesen are hiding in plain sight. In fact, fortune-tellers Mabel and Laszlo are not hiding at all. The pair cons customers by woging and pretending to be a spirit that can communicate with the dead. One night, after fooling a lonely widow, Mabel and Laszlo are interrupted when a man unexpectedly bursts into their shop. Before they can react, he woges into a manticore and quickly kills them with his stinger. As he leaves, he snaps photos of Mabel and Laszlo's dead bodies.

Juliette is hell-bent on having her Hexenbiest transformation reversed, but in order for Henrietta to help, she needs to learn what Juliette's capable of. To find out, Henrietta extracts blood from Juliette's wrist and mixes it with some powders in another jar. The mixture begins swirling, and Henrietta explains that the blood must syncretize in order for her to grasp the extent of Juliette's powers. She says she'll get back in touch in a few days.

When Nick and Hank arrive at the fortune-teller's shop, Wu has already deduced a manticore is behind the kills thanks to his late-night cram sessions in the trailer. The trio's investigation leads them to believe that the killer came in with the sole intention of murdering Mabel and Laszlo. Nick, Hank and Wu decide to check out the pair's last visitor, lonely widow Anne. She describes her fortune-telling experience to them at her home, including the part where Laszlo morphed into an animal. It doesn't take long for the team to realize what's really going on.

The manticore - real name Jonathan Wilde - emails the photos of Mabel and Laszlo to the Wesen Council, who is pleased to see the two offenders have been eliminated. But Wilde isn't done. He requests permission to take out another target.

Back from their honeymoon, Monroe and Rosalee are only too quickly dragged back into Grimm business when Nick, Hank and Wu come over with questions about the Wesen Council and sanctioned kills. Monroe and Rosalee explain that the Council sometimes employs Maréchaussée, or bounty hunters, to carry out their hits. Rosalee encourages Nick to not get involved but says she'll call the Council to see what she can find out.

Elsewhere in Portland, Viktor and Adalind are just settling into their new accommodations when Renard pays them a surprise visit. There's no getting anything past the Captain, especially when he has an alert on your passports. Viktor makes it clear that he and Adalind will not be leaving without Diana and that it would be in Renard's best interest to put his resources as police captain to use to help them find her. The Captain is not swayed, but he doesn't waste any time alerting Nick to Viktor and Adalind's arrival. Nick immediately calls Juliette and warns her to be careful. He races home and fires off an email to his mom to let her know she's being hunted. Juliette arrives soon after, but she and Nick don't get the chance to discuss much before Nick is called away to another crime scene.

The Wesen Council returns Rosalee's call and instructs her to take no further action. Additionally, the Council says they're aware of her relationship with Grimm, and if either of them interferes, penalties will be imposed. Rosalee makes this clear to Nick when he calls with news of a second manticore killing. Wilde's second target was a Wesen pimp named Casey who coerced women into working for him by terrifying them with his woge. Despite the Council's warning, Nick has no intention of backing down. Unfortunately, the Council is not about to let Nick keep investigating. When Wilde receives an email from the Council, it reveals Nick is his next target.

Casey's cell phone yields a fingerprint belonging to Wilde, so Nick, Hank and Wu finally learn the manticore's identity. They put out an APB on his motorcycle, which an officer spots parked outside of a motel. Nick, Hank and Wu storm Wilde's motel room and bring him into the precinct. Nick tries to get him to woge to confirm he's the manticore, but Wilde resists. Without confirmation, Nick and Hank know they can't hold Wilde for long, but they place him in lockup overnight. At the same time, Wu hacks into Wilde's iPad and discovers the bounty on Nick.

Following his meeting with Viktor and Adalind, Renard contacts his Wesen P.I. and supplies him with all of the information he has on Kelly Burkhardt. The race to find Diana first has officially begun.

Juliette is at home practicing her woge when Henrietta calls and asks Juliette to immediately come over. When Juliette arrives, Henrietta shows her that her blood has eaten through the jar it was in, as well as the table and the floor beneath it. Henrietta explains that Juliette is more powerful than she imagined and, unfortunately, irreversible. Juliette has no choice but to accept being a Hexenbiest and, more importantly, learn to control it.

With only a single cop guarding him, Wilde woges and makes his escape. When Nick learns what's happened, he immediately phones Juliette to warn her but it's too late: Wilde is in the house. He takes the phone from Juliette and tells Nick to come alone. Wilde tells Juliette she'll be fine as long as she cooperates, but Juliette of course doesn't listen. Wilde thwarts her attempt to hit him with a fire poker, but when he woges and goes to sting her, Juliette's Hexenbiest alter ego springs into action. She stops Wilde's stinger in mid-air and forces it back on him, stabbing Wilde in the chest. For those keeping count, it marks the second time Juliette's Wesen transformation has kept her alive.

Shortly after, Nick races into the house and finds Wilde dead on the floor and Juliette sitting on the couch. He apologizes for once again putting her in harm's way, but Juliette calmly responds, "You can't protect me, Nick. That's something I'm going to have to do for myself." The dead manticore proves she's more than capable.

Will Juliette be able to accept being a Hexenbiest? How much longer can she keep it a secret from Nick? Tune in to next week's Grimm to find out.
