When everyone assumes he must be a great player just because he's black, Chris gets recruited to his junior high school's basketball team even though he really can't play the game. Chris is suddenly one of the most popular kids in school, and all the attention he is receiving from the faculty and his classmates puts a strain on his relationship with Greg. Meanwhile, to bring in some extra money, Julius and Rochelle rent out their upstairs room, but Rochelle quickly becomes suspicious of their new tenant, Mr. Tate.
