ER Episode 12.10 All About Christmas Eve

It's Christmas and Luka gives gifts to all the EMTs, nurses, staff, and kids around the hospital. He also sends a lot of staff home early because on Christmas they don't usually need the help. He finds Abby and gives her a present and says they should start talking about their relationship.

Sam visits Steve in prison and wants to know why he was moved to Illinois. He tells Sam that people might come looking for all the gifts he sent Alex. Sam leaves in a rage.

Ray brings in a traffic accident patient and the woman, Tamara, starts seizing. They can't figure out what's wrong with her, but they are at least able to bring her to a normal state.

Haleh needs back up singers for the Christmas party and Archie offers his services. Kerry says she takes this annual event seriously. Haleh tells Archie she's holding auditions later if he wants to sign up.

Luka and Ray explain to Tamara that her sodium levels are way off the charts and they need to keep her in the hospital for observation. Tamara wants to go home because she can't leave her kids on Christmas. Luka advises her not to leave, and says she should be monitored. She says she can't be helped because she has ovarian cancer and it has spread to her liver and lungs — and she hasn't told her husband yet.

Kerry and Greg bring in a young girl, Danielle, who got shot by a stray bullet. They operate and Abby assists. Abby talks to Danielle's mother and tells her they're doing everything they can. They continue to get her prepped for the operating room but they seem to be losing her.

Eve tells Sam that her boy Joe wants to spend Christmas at his mother's without Eve. Eve punches out a guy dressed as Santa who was admitted for fighting with a Kwanza man. She pours his urine sample on him when he makes fun of some blind carolers.

Greg is forced to tell Danielle's mother that her condition is serious and her heart is not beating on its own. He asks her mother to at least come in so Danielle can hear her voice. Danielle is about to die, but then her heart starts beating again.

Luka yells at Eve for punching Santa. He wants her to apologize but she says only the nursing supervisor can fire her. Luka meets with the supervisor and she recommends Eve be terminated.

Victor's ex, Jody, shows up and says she's called him 20 times. He tells her to go back to her husband and leave him alone. Jody seduces Victor anyway and tells Victor later that her husband hit her and she left him.

Danielle is finally brought up to the OR and Kerry tells Greg that he did good work. Olivia shows him a vigil that's being held for Danielle outside the hospital but Greg is ushered back in when Danielle is brought back to the ER.

Sam finds Eve in the locker room crying by herself. Sam thinks she's crying over getting fired and she says something about it, but learns that Eve was really crying over getting dumped by her boyfriend.

The cops bring two gang bangers in to see Danielle — hoping she can identify the shooters. Greg makes sure they see what they did to the little girl. He lectures them as they get sick watching the operation.

Eve gets fired and yells at Luka and all the other doctors.

Greg finds Danielle's mother and says she'll pull through. They watch the operation.

Sam talks to Alex and wants to know why he's telling people his father is dead. Alex says he doesn't need him and it's the same as being dead. Sam decides to bring Alex to see his father in prison. She knows it's the right thing to do.

Later at the bar, Haleh sings and Archie is backup — and surprisingly really good. Abby meets Luka there and gives him a small snow globe. Luka gives her a compass because they always find each other. Abby asks Luka to come outside with her and tells him that she doesn't want to ruin what they've had over the past three weeks. But... she's pregnant!
