Recently, the children of Mr. and Mrs. Browning were abducted from their beds in the dark of night. Thus far, an exhaustive search of the greater London area has yielded neither results nor clues as to the whereabouts of the children. Nonetheless, Scotland Yard has devoted massive resources to the search, and it is only a matter of time before the Browning children are recovered.
Mr. Browning has assured the press that the children were discovered safely in the possession of his wife, but Mrs. Browning has yet to confirm the rumor, which is now believed to be a posturing by Mr. Browning in order to avoid a citywide panic.
After the unfortunate debacle of Mr. Grayson's revolutionary geomagnetic resonator machine several weeks ago, in which the milk supply of an entire neighborhood was poisoned, city officials took steps to stifle the progress of Grayson's invention. However, officials have recently lifted the sanction on the resonator machine, allowing Grayson to present an official demonstration of his machine to the London populous in the near future. Plans are currently under way, and Mr. Grayson is currently searching for a venue of an appropriate size and caliber in which to carry out the demonstration.
Miss Mina Murray remains in the hospital following a vicious attack in the university medical laboratory last week. Though she appears to be physically unharmed, the psychological and emotional damage runs deep. Miss Murray is reportedly struggling to remain conscious for long bouts, and may also be suffering from hallucinations and delusions as a result of the attacks. Inside sources report that Miss Murray's fiance, Mr. Jonathan Harker, has not visited the hospital once.
Harker has also been seen socializing with Miss Murray's former best friend, Miss Lucy Westenra. What will come of the engagement of London's most up-and-coming young couple? Only time will tell!
Scotland Yard issued a report of a brutal murder at an exclusive billiard hall recently, in which a handful of prominent young socialites were savagely slain. The bodies were discovered two mornings ago, littering the floor, chairs and billiard table of an exclusive billiard hall often frequented by employees of some of London's most reputable business leaders, including Mr. Browning and Lord Davenport. As of yet, constables have no leads as to possible suspects or motives.
