The Defenders Episode 1.13 Nevada v. Donnie the Numbers Guy

Nick is forced to confront his past when he defends a former client accused of brutally murdering his wife. Defending the 17 year old case proves to be difficult and dangerous as Nick and Pete unearth secrets everyone, including the mob, want buried. This episode shines a light on Nick's past. He learned from the best and brightest mob lawyers when he was a young man just out of law school. Now, faced with proving the innocence of an old friend, he must go back into that world to seek the advice of his old boss and mentor. When the physical evidence that would exonerate this man has gone missing, Nick has to take the case with no physical or forensic evidence to help his friend. In the end, the man is convicted of the crime but we are left to believe that this is not over yet.
