Horatio and Tripp are transporting Jack Toller, the last remaining jail break fugitive from episode #903 , via private jet, when things don't go as planned and the jet is forced to make an emergency landing and Toller is once again on the loose. An all out manhunt is mobilized. The search for Toller brings us into the world of high tech, international counterfeiting. Namely a conspiracy to produce "Supernotes", the most advanced forged currency on the planet -- commonly used by terrorists. In the process, we confront Toller's former cell mate Randy North, who claims to have no knowledge of Toller' plan. But a short time later we catch Randy disposing of Toller's car. Randy swears he only aided Toller because he threatened his children. Now Randy needs Natalia's help. The state wants to use the incident to take Randy's kids away and Natalia testifies on his behalf, but it is to no avail and he loses custody of his children. Meanwhile, Toller kidnaps a young girl and uses her to sell the engraved plates. With the help of undercover secret service agent Rene Locklear, Horatio arrives in time to save the girl and disrupt the counterfeiting scheme, but Toller narrowly escapes. That is, until Randy North calls Natalia. Toller called him and wants to meet. Natalia and Horatio arrive to meet Randy but they discover it was trap, Randy wants revenge for losing his children. He shoots Horatio and stuffs Natalia in the back of car and dumps it off a pier.
