It's fashion week in Miami and two of our Angels, Abby and Eve, are the stars of the hottest runway show in town. Backstage, they spot their suspect, Jerry Hinton, snapping candids of the dressing rooms. Seeing he's been made, he bolts. Eve and Abby sacrifice their stylish shoes to give chase. They chase him onto a dock. Kate and Bosley come at him from the other side. He's cornered. They press him for info on Gabriella, the model he's been stalking, when he reaches for something behind his back. Eve dive-tackles him into the water. When they resurface, he's holding his phone and not a gun.

Creepy as he is, Jerry's alibi is airtight. Bosley finds photos of Gabriella on the memory card confiscated from Jerry's camera. They show her arguing with her roommate, Devon Ross, the day before she disappeared. Detective Ray Goodson, the lead on Gabriella's case and Kate's ex-fiance, interrupts. He's not too happy with the way the Angels handled Jerry and Kate makes it clear that she isn't looking for his approval. Abby and Bosley clue Eve in. After Kate was busted, Ray called off their engagement. Kate is still holding onto the ring.

White sand, bright sun, Devon struggles to sell it for her prima donna photographer. After this disastrous bout in front of the camera, Devon makes nice with her fellow model, Abby. Eve charges up and tosses a suitcase at Abby's feet. She's kicking Abby out and her tantrum on the set prompts prima donna Kate to fire her as well. Abby's homeless and jobless. It's the perfect set up. Devon invites her to fill a vacancy in her mega mansion, but there may be strings attached.

It's a house full of models, but these aren't your average models. Textbooks, self defense, when they're not modeling they're making sure they can handle anything that comes their way. With the help of a distraction by the Krav Maga instructor, John Bosley, Abby slinks across the window ledges into Gabriella's room. The police tossed the room, searching for clues, but with a little female intuition, Abby finds a stash in the air vent: a shoebox with $100, 000 and the deed to a condo. An attorney named Mitch Dawson arrives to see the new girl. Abby gets back to her room just in time to greet him. He has an opportunity for her to supplement her income, but they must discuss over dinner.

Kate and Eve check out Gabriella's condo. They break in and scope the place. Ray pounces, relieved and agitated to see Kate is the intruder. He worries that her new profession is putting her dangerously close to the side of the law that got her into so much trouble before. Meanwhile, Eve searches the rest of the condo and finds Gabriella in the shower, wrapped in plastic - dead.

Abby meets with Mitch, their only lead. Kate and Eve watch from a nearby table. Mitch arrives and introduces Abby to his client, Carlos Obregon, who presents Abby with a ring and proposes. Abby does her best to not react as they explain that she is to help him get a green card in exchange for a cash infusion to start her modeling career. Abby excuses herself to run to the restroom. Once there, she fills in the Angels over her ear bud. When she emerges from the stall, Mitch has a gun trained on her; he heard everything.

Abby sizes him up. She can tell he isn't comfortable with a gun and swiftly disarms him. Kate and Eve join for the interrogation. Mitch hold up rather well, he won't tell them the name of Gabriella's husband for fear of his life. Ray shows up, he had an officer tail Kate. He finds Mitch in the ladies room wet and beaten from the Angels tactics. He's furious. They just assaulted a suspect and Gabriella's killer could go free because of it.

With no leads left, they send in Bosley to see what Devon knows. She gives him the name Simon Genks, an employee of Caldwell Security. The Angels make a house call. They see a picture of Genks in a military uniform with another man. Eve finds marks on the floor that lead them to a hidden compartment. Inside, they find a sniper rifle. Suddenly, they're showered with gunshots. The Angels take cover. Genks grabs the sniper rifle and bolts.

Prints the Angels took show that Genks is actually a Chechnyan war veteran turned assassin, Nikolai Denko. He blames the Russians for his wife's death and has already attempted to kill the Russian President's himself. The Russian First Lady is in town and they suspect that she may be his next target. To be of any help to her they need to know her itinerary, which have been provided to Miami PD. Kate calls Ray for help. He's hesitant to put faith in their intel - if they're wrong it will all fall back on him. Kate pushes him to trust her. Ray tells her that Miami PD aren't providing the Russian First Lady's security, they hired Caldwell Security.

The Angels and Bosley race to Margaret Park where the First Lady is watching the Haitian Cultural Dance Troop perform. They spot Denko on the balcony of a nearby hotel. Kate and Ray go after Denko. Abby, Eve and Bosley go to warn the First Lady. Abby tackles her just before Denko gets off his shots. Kate and Ray capture the assassin on the roof of the hotel when his radio emits another voice in Russian. There's another shooter.

Eve spots him, the guy from the photograph in Denko's house. Bosley takes him out as he nearly gets a shot off on the First Lady. His shots ring harmlessly into the air, but they distract Ray for a moment letting Denko get a jump on him. He grabs Ray's gun and turns it on him. As he squeezes the trigger, Kate shoots him in the shoulder, saving Ray.

Kate meets Ray for dinner. Ray tells her he misses her, wants her back, but Kate can't. She hands him back the engagement ring. She realized that in order for her to be able to move forward she has to let go of her past. She leaves, taking with her any chance they had for reconciliation.
