Fanny has returned to Paradise with a very charming man, Michael, whom she has been dating on and off for years. Fanny and Michelle travel down to LA to see a play. When she misses the intermission curtain call, Michelle hangs out in the back and meets the director, Conor. They hit it off instantly over frustrations with the play. During an overnight trip with Conor, Michelle starts thinking about Hubbell and begins to cry realizing that all this time she has been in shock over his death.

Meanwhile, Sasha is retaliating against Fanny's rules and is replaced by Boo in the Fred Astaire/Ginger Rogers dance. During rehearsals, Boo becomes smitten with her charismatic but nerdy dance partner, Carl, who has a crush on Boo. After Sasha's final retaliation of streaking her hair blue, Fanny tells her to leave the dance school... indefinitely.
