While the contestants are still reeling from David's elimination, Alison joins them in the kitchen with two big announcements: first, the contestants are competing as individuals now and are no longer on teams. Second, this week's elimination will feature a yellow line elimination, which means that the two contestants with the smallest losses will be on the chopping block this week.

Next, the contestants are escorted to a room filled with delectable Valentine's Day treats. The contestant who eats the most calories will win a two-pound advantage in the weigh-in and will have a two-pound advantage to give away to another contestant. In the end, Francy wins the two-pound advantage and gives her additional 2-pound advantage to Alex, who ate over 1,000 calories to come in second.

The trainers meet with the Biggest Loser kids to check in on their progress. The trainers have arranged for a cheerleading tryout for Lindsay, a baseball tryout for Biingo, and dance lessons for Sunny. The kids have goals to work toward. Bob is eager to get the okay from Biingo's doctor to allow him to be more active on his injured foot.

Next, the contestants meet with the trainers. Now that the contestants are flying solo, the trainers can give attention to contestants they haven't worked with before, and while most of the day's training runs smoothly, Jeff and Jillian begin to get on each other's nerves. The trainers select the contestants they're going to train today, and they're off to the races.

Dolvett pushes Michael like Bob has never pushed him before. It's a tough workout for Michael, but in the end, he is incredibly grateful to Dolvett for his tireless effort. Jillian's workout with Jeff doesn't go so well. The two have butted heads before, and today Jeff has no patience for Jillian's aggressive motivation style. The workout is cut short when Jeff refuses to participate.

After the workout, Jillian has a heart-to-heart with Jeff. During the conversation, Jeff reveals what he believes is the source of his emotional struggle, and what eventually led to his weight gain. Jeff has built a wall around his emotions, and Jillian fights to break down those walls and unleash Jeff's true potential.

Meanwhile around the country, the Biggest Loser kids are making great progress. Sunny is enjoying her Bollywood dance class, and Lindsay is excited about cheerleading. Biingo struggles with his broken foot. His cast has been holding him back from exercising, and he's hoping that today's doctor's visit will yield great results.

For this week's challenge, the contestants are taken to a sports arena where they must chase a spotlight around the grand stands. The winning contestant gets to bring a family member to the ranch for 24 hours, just in time for Valentine's Day. The contestants frantically race around the arena, and in the end, Danni wins the challenge again. She gives her extra visit to Gina, and she gives her family visit away to Michael.

Gina and Michael get 24 hours with their spouses, and they could not be happier. Emotions are flying, and Michael even gets to see his baby boy. Michael's wife is astounded by his progress, and Gina's husband almost doesn't recognize his lovely wife. Dolvett spends some time with Michael and his wife and encourages Mike's wife to join Michael in his weight-loss journey.

At the end of the week, the contestants all workout together in the Last-Chance Workout. The trainers want to push all of the contestants as much as possible, and today they are relentless. Bob and Alex get snappy with each other, and it seems that frustrations on the ranch are continuing to rise. Dolvett gives Gina a much-needed pep talk to reinvigorate her mind.

It's weigh-in time again, and the contestants file into the weigh-in room to face off individually for the first time. The two contestants with the smallest weight loss are automatically eligible for elimination, so it's anyone's game tonight. Francy drops six pounds; Alex sheds eight pounds, and Danni loses six pounds. Joe takes the scale next for a 12-pound loss. Jeff drops 11 pounds; Gina sheds nine pounds; Jackson loses 13 pounds; and Michael drops 10 pounds.

Michael and Francy are up for elimination, and the six other contestants must decide which one of their friends is going home. The contestants base this week's voting entirely on strategy: Michael has been losing more weight, and therefore, he represents a bigger threat in the overall competition. In the end, Michael is sent home.
