Bachelor Pad Episode 3.06 Episode 306

Spell-bound: The Pad Pals learn they will be competing as couples for the rest of the run. By process of elimination, Nick is partnered with Rachel, who is still sobbing after Michael's departure. There's only one thing that can truly heal a broken heart. A spelling bee!

Word Up: The teams must spell words by alternating letters and are judged by some really smart kids. DING! That sound you hear is the bell that dismisses the worst spellers in the group. It gets down to a battle between Ed and Jaclyn and Chris and Sarah. The match goes into sudden death. When all is spelled and done, Chris and Sarah win on the word "serendipity." That means they each get a nice, red R-O-S-E.

A Roll in the Hay: Chris and Sarah fly into the middle of wine country where they take a train ride to their picnic location. They decide to take a dip in a nearby pond. Come dinnertime, Chris talks about his breakup with Emily and how he would like to have many more dates with Sarah in the future. As for this current date, they make the most of it by spending the night rolling in the hay of a romantic old barn.

Bed Buddies: Ed and Jaclyn head out to the airport where they take a plane ride to a small island for their date. They hike through a long field to have a picnic by the water. Ed apologizes for what happened at the rose ceremony. He says he broke up with someone that he cares for just before coming on the show so he could come in single. This is a shocker to Jaclyn and leads to some awkward dinner conversation, but that doesn't mean they won't keep sleeping in the same bed together.

Knight Moves: Tony surprises Blakeley with an impromptu date at the mansion. He's completely smitten with her. Blakeley says that she has tons of trust issues. It'll take a strong man to fight through all that. Blakeley believes that Tony could possibly be her knight in shining armor.

Takedown Time: Ed and Jaclyn are told they must give two roses to a couple other than themselves. The other Pad Pals plead their cases as to why they deserve to stay. Blakeley and Tony end up getting the roses. This has Nick worrying about his future in the house, especially with Kalon conspiring against them. He's also ticked at Rachel for having a phone conversation with Michael.

The Rose Ceremony: When it comes time to decide who will stay and who will go, the Pad Pals who receive roses are: Blakeley (safe from an award), Chris (safe from the challenge), Ed, Jaclyn, Nick, Rachel, Sarah (safe from the challenge) and Tony (safe from an award).

That means Kalon and Lindzi are headed out of the pad forever. They are supposed to leave in separate limos, but that's not something Kalon wants to do. He hops out of his car to ride off with Lindzi. Kalon didn't win the money, but he may have won Lindzi's heart.
