Here We Go Again!

The second season at the pad features an assorted crew of lovely ladies and hunky guys. Check out the bios to see who's who and then take the Bachelor Pad Quiz to see how well you know all the new pad pals. But for now, let's see what goes down once everyone moves into the mansion.

The Arrivals

The hot topic from the start is the reuniting of Jake and Vienna. These two didn't have the most amicable breakup in TV history. All right, it was downright nasty. But what better way to get closure with an ex than to live together with 16 other beautiful people who are all vying for $250,000? It's highly therapeutic! Or toxic. The jury's still out on that one.

Things are awkward from the get-go once Jake makes his way to see Vienna. There's a lot of tension by the pool as he tries to make small talk in front of Vienna's new boyfriend, Kasey. The two men break off for a private chat. Jake says he's happy for the new couple. Kasey appreciates this but admits it's hard for him to be around a guy who caused so much pain to the woman he loves.

Somebody Needs a Hug

The mansion-mates must pick a partner of the opposite sex for their first challenge. In the "Hook Up," a guy and a girl must cling to each other while dangling 10-feet high over a bed. The hug buddies who can hang onto each other the longest win the challenge and will be saved from elimination.

Jackie and Ames have struck up a quick romance, but they agree to partner-up with other folks for the challenge. He's with Michelle and she's with Jake, who knows he'll be on the chopping block right away. William and Gia are the first to fall. Two-by-two they drop until the only two couples remaining are Kasey and Vienna and Jake and Jackie. 35 minutes pass before Vienna finally drops. That means Jake is safe...for now.

Alliance Reliance

The fact that Vienna and Kasey lost the challenge puts a bit of a strain on their relationship. They get it together long enough to form alliances with Graham and Michelle. They all plan to be the final four. The covert quartet tries to reel in Justin into their group, but he approaches folks they haven't recruited in order to dish on their scheme. Word gets back to the original group that Justin is working both sides. But since Alli is the one who spilled the beans, she's obviously doing the double-agent thing, too.

Hollywood and Wine

Jake and Jackie each get a rose for winning the challenge. They also get a chance to go on a romantic date away from the house where they'll be given a third rose to hand out upon their return. While out on Hollywood Boulevard, a young girl is in tears because she's so excited to see Jake. Jackie is impressed at how well her date responds to this young fan.

Jake and Jackie see their names in lights on a movie marquee. Their dinner takes place atop the theater with a dazzling view of Hollywood Boulevard. Before they get to the rose dilemma, Jake gives Jackie the 411 regarding his breakup with Vienna. It's a nice date that ends with no real decision about who will get that third rose.

The Jake and Vienna Variety Hour

Jackie suggests that Jake give the rose to Vienna as a peace offering even though his instincts say give it to Gia. After all, she's his ally and may be on the chopping block. As you can imagine, Gia thinks this is a bad idea. But Jake follows his heart and gives the rose to his former fianc&eactue;e. Gia is crushed.

Jake pulls Vienna and Kasey aside. He apologizes for raising his voice to her on TV. Jake seems genuine, but Vienna doesn't buy it. She thinks he's playing the part of the nice, innocent guy. She believes he's a phony robot. Of course, Jake doesn't know this. He thinks he just got closure. But Vienna and Kasey now seem to hate him more than ever.

The Rose Ceremony

After feeling somewhat betrayed by Jake, Gia goes on the offensive by chatting with Kasey about who's on which team. They agree to not vote each other off, but Gia believes Kasey is Vienna's puppet. The first vote will determine which team truly has the upper hand. Will it be those aligning with Jake and Gia or those who are pad pals with Vienna and Kasey?

Justin fears that he's going home without even having a chance to take a swim in the pool. The good news for him is that there's a plot to get rid of Kasey. It seems like Gia is the swing vote regarding this strategy. At the end of the ceremony, the two pad people who do not receive a rose are Justin and Alli. Guess it's okay to play both sides as long as you don't get caught.
