Harrison wakes up in Ruby's bed to the sound of his cell phone - and a near-hysterical Bob who claims Ruby killed his mom. He rushes to Bob's apartment and tries to console him and ease him away from the certainty of Ruby's involvement... but to no avail. Later, after a failed attempt to speak with Imam Khulus, Harrison spots a man following him in the street - and moments later finds himself surrounded by a whole team. They jump him in an alley and warn him to back off or suffer the same fate as his father. Before he absorbs a final series of gut punches, Harrison notices a tattoo on one of their arms - a detail he investigates at Ruby's apartment. With his conflicted lover peering over his shoulder, Harrison discovers the tattoo's meaning: Osela. He's positive these men are responsible for his father's death.

The real killer - Ruby - returns to Osela Headquarters for a confrontation with Michael Banks over the men he sent to scare Harrison. Banks seethes at her hesitancy to vanquish Harrison and reiterates that he knows she harbors feelings for her target. Ruby struggles to dismiss his allegations and pushes for more time - a move that he rejects wholesale. Instead, he challenges her to meet the organization's expectations and to accept where her true talents lie. She's a killer, after all.

Meanwhile, Peter covertly approaches Imam Khulus to express his continued interest in speaking with Yusuf, despite the recent hiccup. Khulus caves to Peter's appeal and sends him to Yusuf's hiding place - on a ferry to Staten Island. After listening to Peter's offer of safety in Greece, Yusuf retains him as his lawyer and then reveals that Senator Darnell framed him after he attempted to speak out about Societel's involvement with terrorists. Not only does this absolve him of any criminality, it feeds his desire to tell his story. Yusuf demands to speak with Tsaldari in person before they reach any kind of agreement and Peter sets it up.

At Luc's safe house in Timbuktu, Odelle and Aslam both agree to act against their instincts and keep Frank alive. However, Odelle soon deduces that Luc refrained from killing Frank in the first place because he saw an opportunity for long-term self-preservation. Angry that her would-be assassin remains alive, Odelle bides her time until she and Frank are alone... and then she strangles him with a rope. Seconds before he appears to lose consciousness, she releases her hold, unable to finish the task. They argue about their respective responsibilities to their country and ultimately Odelle storms out without any kind of resolution.

Aslam ends up in a similar situation while on a petrol run for Luc's truck. He encounters a shady group of "lost boys" and uses the petrol money to purchase a gun, intending to seek revenge on Frank for killing his father. But the boys raise the price after accepting Aslam's cash and demand that he shoot a prisoner of theirs with the gun. Aslam points the weapon at the man's head... but cannot pull the trigger. The boys laugh in his face - and keep both the gun and the money.

Back in New York, Peter and Tsaldari wait for Yusuf in the park. They discuss Peter's crumbling family situation and the fact that this meeting will negate Peter's chance at $40 million from Societel, a loss he says is worth the cause. A cryptic text from Yusuf (clearly not attending their meeting) interrupts them and leads to an epiphany from Peter: if Yusuf achieves revenge on Darnell, he would be tried in America and receive the ability to tell his story to a courtroom instead of the possible alternative of extradition to a lawless camp like Guantanamo Bay. But his realization - and the urgent call to Darnell's security team - comes too late; at a campaign stop nearby, Senator Darnell exits to applause - only to find Yusuf waiting for him with a gun... and a fatal bullet. As the senator drops to the ground, his security detail pounces on Yusuf; Peter watches, horrified by the scene.

With Yusuf in custody, Tsaldari decides to return to Greece and leave the situation in the States on uncertain terms. Peter accompanies her to a rooftop helicopter where she seems to consider a once-unthinkable possibility: should she agree to a deal with Alex Baker?

A different question rattles around for Odelle as she and Luc engage in another confrontation, spurred by the serious danger Odelle knows will soon arrive in the form of Osela, whose members are no doubt tracking their leader's location. Luc eventually displays some compassion and hands over his truck keys to give Odelle a head start. But instead of leaving Timbuktu, she steals a gun from a hidden compartment in the truck and returns to shoot Frank in the head. His death sends Luc in a rage and he bolts - right as Aslam comes back from his failed venture into town. Without money or enough petrol for a real escape, Odelle and Aslam consider alternatives... that is, until Luc comes back with a surprise in tow: all the lost boys from town. He holds Aslam back as the boys surround Odelle at gunpoint and lead her away to a clay and mud house, where a hand reaches out and pulls her inside.
