Jack makes it aware to Liz that if she wants to make money, she is going to have to invest in real estate. Liz is surprised to hear she's a little late on the bandwagon. Jenna owns property and even Frank owns. Jenna clues Liz in on some hot property.
Jack and C.C. are determined to make their long-distance relationship work so they agree to meet halfway. Jack takes that literally, when he arranges to meet C.C. in a Pennsylvania mining town because it is exactly the halfway point from her office in Washington DC and his in New York.
Kenneth has developed an addiction to coffee thanks to Tracy. Meanwhile, Liz agrees to watch German DVDs for Jack so he can prepare for his Northern European TV take-over, but Liz has to do an interview with the co-op board for the apartment she wants to buy. So, she passes her DVD duties on to a hyped-up Kenneth.
C.C. and Jack throw their cell phones away and focus on each other. Meanwhile, back in New York, the Germans arrive early to meet with Jack about his take-over. With Jack nowhere to be found and Kenneth buzzed on coffee, Liz has to put her German vocabulary to good use and meet with the Germans.
Liz is getting anxious when the co-op board hasn't called her back with an answer. After a few glasses of wine, she decides to call them and call them and call them. Each time, she leaves a more humiliating drunken message than the previous one.
After Liz messes up the German takeover, Jack is forced to choose between his job and C.C. He drives to Pennsylvania and is disappointed to see she is still in Washington. She calls him to explain her job is just too important. He agrees and the two amicably breakup, but agree to get it right in another life.
Kenneth decides it's time to leave his addiction behind and move back home to Georgia. Only problem is he missed his train. The TGS cast broke into song, but were quickly interrupted when guest star Gladys Knight complained because she was trying to nap.
