Kim Kardashian to Recur on 'Drop Dead Diva' as Fred's New Love Interest
January 27, 2012 09:01:45Kim Kardashian continues spreading her wings in scripted TV world. After landing a role on Tim Allen's "Last Man Standing", the E! channel star is cast in the upcoming fourth season of "Drop Dead Diva" for a multiple episode arc.
The 31-year-old beauty will recur as Nikki, who is a new love interest for Fred (Ben Feldman). She also partners with Stacy (April Bowlby), who happens to be Fred's ex, in a new business venture.

'Drop Dead Diva' Renewed for Fourth Season
September 23, 2011 02:09:40"Drop Dead Diva" is going to stay alive for at least another year. Lifetime has renewed the drama series for a fourth season consisting of another 13 episodes which will premiere sometime next year, so the network announced on Thursday, September 22.
"Drop Dead Diva is a signature series for Lifetime that continues to resonate with audiences with its heart and humor," Lifetime Networks' President and General Manager, Nancy Dubuc, said in a statement about the show which has averaged 2.3 million viewers this season. "We are thrilled to bring it back for another season."

June 25, 2010 01:06:16While the news of Jake Pavelka's split from fiancee Vienna Girardi is still warm, Lifetime takes the chance to release several sneak peeks to his "Drop Dead Diva" cameo. The contestant of "The Bachelor" season 14 got into a character that actually is not far from his real life, to become a bachelor who must lay a choice between two women in a dating series.
Jake's Toby is a suitor on "Finding the One", a dating show which producer is being sued for "intentionally inflicting emotional harm" when Toby dumps one bachelorette for favor of another. Some stills revealed Jake's Toby Davlin walking down the isle with a brunette and the video preview showed a court trial where a blonde is also present. Toby is put on the testifying booth and reveals that he was encouraged to pick a particular girl for a dramatic effect.

June 15, 2010 11:06:31"The Bachelor" star Jake Pavelka will finally do fiction for he has been cast to play a role in Lifetime's "Drop Dead Diva". "I am honored to be a part of 'Drop Dead Diva' this season, and cannot wait to meet the cast and crew," Pavelka said.
He went in audition and right away won everyone's attention. "When Jake came into the office to audition for the role, the whole production came to a stop. Everyone wanted to talk with him. He was so gracious and charming. He was spot-on and won the role in the room," creator and executive producer Josh Berman recalled.

The first clip takes viewers back a little bit to the season 1 ending where Jane gets a big surprise from the past when a man claiming to be her husband showed up on her door step.
The show tells the story of a beautiful-but-vapid model wannabe, Deb, who has a fatal car accident and suddenly finds herself in front of Heaven's gatekeeper, Fred, who declares her a self-centered "zero." Outraged, Deb attempts to persuade Fred to return her to her shallow existence but is accidentally relegated to the body of the recently deceased Jane Bingum.

July 02, 2009 04:07:35Art imitates life, Paula Abdul is to play a judge on a new Lifetime original series "Drop Dead Diva". Abdul, who is serving as one of "American Idol" judges, will start filming her part next week and have her episode aired in September.
"I am very excited to guest star on Drop Dead Diva," Abdul stated. "All of the people are extremely talented and it's a charming, wonderfully written new show."
