'Desperate Housewives' Sneak Peek: Bree and Karl Caught
November 25, 2009 03:11:00One of the several sneak peeks released for the upcoming episode of "Desperate Housewives" reveals that Bree and Karl's affair is caught by one of their friends. A slight opening in the motel curtain allows Susan to peek inside the room and discover the long-kept secret. The synopsis for the episode titled "Would I Think of Suicide?" says that Bree and Susan are literally up in arms with one another.
Meanwhile, Lynette's pregnancy causes a rift with Gaby. In another clip, Carlos is forcing Lynette out of her job by replacing her with a guy and transfers her to Florida. Lynette refuses to budge and therefore is given an office inside a closet space.

'Desperate Housewives' May Air Until 2013
October 29, 2009 04:10:30Despite being crashed and burnt in an upcoming episode, Wisteria Lane will survive at least three more years. The creator of "Desperate Housewives", Marc Cherry, has agreed with ABC to a deal that will keep him as the executive producer and show runner of the dramedy for two more years. He was previously committed until 2011.
The show is currently airing its sixth season. With the new deal, it may extend up to season 9. However, it is not set in stone yet that "Desperate" will run until 2013 because the principal cast members of the show have not struck a deal.

Marc Cherry Developing New Show for ABC
October 09, 2009 04:10:26Now that "Desperate Housewives" has been running for five years, creator Marc Cherry is looking out to venture into another show. He has been in talks with ABC to develop a new series which previously was referred to as a spin-off to "Desperate".
The new series which is aimed for next season has since been granted a stand-alone status according to THR. Cherry is assisted in writing the project by "Desperate" executive producer, Alexandra Cunningham. Both of them will also be executive producing together with Sabrina Wind. There is still little detail about the project but it is said to have the same tone to "Desperate".

"She Wolf" is the single from Shakira's new studio album of the same name, "She Wolf", which will be released in the United States on October 13. The music video was directed by Jake Nava, featuring Shakira wearing skin-colored leotard and dancing inside a cage. The single itself has been used as a background music for several promos of the show.

Two Sneak Peeks of 'Desperate Housewives' 6.01

Marc Cherry Creates 'Desperate Housewives' Vignettes
September 08, 2009 10:09:35Details about extra series that accompanies the sixth season of "Desperate Housewives" have been unearthed. As previously reported, there would be eight vignettes, released weekly as the series' side dish, which are promoting Sprint mobile. Turns out these vignettes are produced by creator Marc Cherry and written by the show's writers.
"They're kind of like the old Taster's Choice commercials, but we added a lot of wicked dark humor, murder and adultery and betrayal," Cherry told EW. Executive Producer Sabrina Wind chimed in, "It's very Desperate Housewives. It was shot on our set, with our crew, and written by our writers."

Two Soap Stars Moving in to 'Desperate Housewives'

The new neighbor who will be moving into Edie Britt's house is none other than "The Young and the Restless" actress Rebecca Staab. Accompanying Staab in the house is fellow soap star David Chisum from "One Life to Live".

Through the onset pics released in the last few months that show Teri Hatcher and Dana Delany in wedding gowns, it is presumed that either Susan or Katherine will get wed by James Denton's Mike Delfino this season.

Nicollette Sheridan Bows Out of 'Desperate Housewives'

Online has broken the news, reporting that ABC's spokeswoman has let out confirmation that the 45-year-old actress will be leaving "Desperate Housewives", the network's comedy-drama about the lives of a group of women living on the Wisteria Lane.
In addition to the spokeswoman's confirmation, Casablanca noted that Sheridan's representative has also made a comment over the actress' departure. "Nicollette had a great time on the show and is looking forward to her next project," so the rep said as quoted by the columnist.

'Desperate Housewives' Extended Until Ninth Season
December 11, 2008 11:12:46Marc Cherry, creator of "Desperate Housewives" announced that the show will be extended up to ninth season although no deal has been sealed with ABC. Cherry who also serves as the executive producer, thought that the series would end in seventh season but the popularity of the show provides the courage to go on for two more seasons.
While celebrating the shooting of the show's 100th episode, Cherry said, "My intention has always been to end the show after seven seasons, 'cause that first season darn near killed me. (But) the five-year jump seems to have reinvigorated interest in the show, and the ratings are terrific. So I started recently talks with (ABC Entertainment president) Steve McPherson and (ABC Studios chief) Mark Pedowitz about continuing the show for a ninth season. We're going to find a way to make it work."

October 08, 2008 11:10:14Some spoilers to the upcoming episodes of "Desperate Housewives" have been offered by creator Marc Cherry. The man who also serves as the series' executive producer, told E! online that a huge fire will occur in Fairview, and some of the residents on Wisteria Lane may not survive the incident. "It's one of the biggest special-effects episodes we've ever done, actually more difficult than the tornado," Cherry said.
He also noted that the garage band Dave creates with Tom will be somewhat a pivotal story related to the fire. "We have a huge episode that we just started shooting where all my regulars go to see a garage band from the neighborhood play in a nightclub," Cherry continued. "The nightclub gets set on fire. It's connected to the mystery, and it's going to be a huge episode."

Steven Weber's One Episode on 'Desperate Housewives'

EW's Michael Ausiello stated that Weber comes into Wisteria Lane only on one episode of the season as 20 years elder boyfriend of Susan's adult daughter, Julie Meyer.
Weber plays briefly as Julie's college professor, a widower of thrice divorced, who then turns his love to her. The couple's sudden appearance in Wisteria Lane to visit Susan will cause complex situation for her.

Giving out snippets on what each character will be facing next Sunday, October 12, the footage promises that the 5.03 episode will be juicier than ever.
The episode entitled "Kids Ain't Like Everybody Else" will center its story on the return of Bree's estranged daughter, Danielle, to Wisteria Lane and is met with overflowing criticism. In the meantime, Gaby and Susan are involved in a catfight due to their kids' brawl. On Lynette's part, she will get extremely annoyed upon finding out that Tom and Dave have formed a garage band after she told Tom to get rid of his old things.
