The cast members of HBO/BBC's adaptation of J.K. Rowling's "" have been announced. EW learns that who plays Prof. Dumbledore in the final six "Harry Potter" films is set to play one of the key characters named Howard Mollison, the leader of the Parish Council in a quiet English village Pagford.

J.K. Rowling's "" will be brought onto the small screen. The first book for adult readership from the "Harry Potter" author, the novel will be adapted into a three-hour miniseries on HBO and BBC.

The story centers on Pagford, a seemingly idyllic English village whose history and quaintness are balanced only by its citizens' duplicitous nature. After the death of Parish Councillor Barry Fairbrother, a war breaks out before the election for his successor takes place. Those running for a place soon find their darkest secrets revealed on the Parish Council online forum, ruining their campaign and leaving the election in turmoil.

J.K. Rowling's first adult novel "" is going to be adapted into the small screen. BBC announces that it has greenlit a TV show based on the book which will air on BBC One as early as 2014. There is no word on number of episodes for the series.

"It is thrilling to be bringing the work of J.K. Rowling to BBC One audiences," says Danny Cohen, BBC One controller. "J.K. Rowling's story-telling is of course peerless in its popularity, and I am looking forward to collaborating with her. This project highlights the ambition and scale of BBC One Drama, as well as the ability of modern television to attract the world's biggest talent and most exciting creative ideas."
