June 25, 2009 01:06:12At the 35th annual Saturn Awards on Wednesday, June 24, "Battlestar Galactica" came out victorious in the television category. The Sci Fi series took 3 nods, including Best Syndicated/Cable Television Series.
Receiving the second most winnings at the event was Showtime's "Dexter". The series about a man leading a double life as a serial killer won through two of its actors, Jennifer Carpenter who plays secondary character Debra Morgan, and Jimmy Smits who guest starred as Assistant District Attorney Miguel Prado.

Preview of 'Battlestar Galactica' Two-Hour Finale
March 14, 2009 11:03:31The end is near, "Battlestar Galactica" will air its very last episodes in a two-hour finale on March 20 starting at 9/8c. The preview is available, giving a peek on the battle, the dilemma and what truth will be revealed.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, executive producer Ron Moore said that the ending is exactly what the creative team wants it to be, but it may be the subject of discussion for fans. "I'm sure there will be a lot of discussion," he said. "They have a lot of different expectations for what they think it's going to be, and a lot of opinions about how it should be. All of us who worked on the finale feel good about it, that this is the ending of the story we wanted to make."

Preview of 'Battlestar Galactica' Finale Part 1
March 07, 2009 11:03:03First part of the series finale of "Battlestar Galactica" has been given a preview. In "Daybreak: Part 1", Adama announces that the mission will be launched and nobody is in any obligation to join it, but it's likely to be a one-way trip.
The first part will air March 13 and the second one which will provide as the end of the series, follows the next week. A TV movie called "The Plan" has been prepared for a two-hour telecast right after the finale. It will chronicle on what happen on board the Cylon ships before and after the attack.

February 28, 2009 02:02:46With three more episodes to go "Battlestar Galactica" is revealing more and more about the disturbing truth. Apart from losing more crew after Hera, it is revealed that Galactica is dying. The episode will run March 6 on Sci Fi.
The show will wrap up its entire series in a three-hour event on March 20. Coming out to speak of the final hours, Katee Sackhoff who plays Starbuck emphasizes that there's always people assuming that she could still be a Cylon. "I'm just going to go ahead and let them believe what they want because there's nothing I could say that's going to convince anyone otherwise," she said to Hero Complex.

Preview of 'Battlestar Galactica' 4.17: No Exit
February 07, 2009 02:02:55"Battlestar Galactica" is getting closer to the end and a preview for next week's episode called "No Exit" is readily available. The official synopsis is not yet revealed but looks like the final cylon, Ellen Tigh, will take action of what she knows. The sixth episode before the show wraps up will air February 13.
Kate Vernon who plays Tigh recently told TV Guide that she returns to the show "to reunite with my husband in the good old-fashioned way." Tigh was revealed as the fifth and final cylon on the January 16 episode of the show. "Some of my friends who are die hard fans are indignant that I didn't tell them," Vernon said, "and they're thrilled that I am the Cylon."

'Battlestar Galactica' Webisodes Start Airing December 12
December 10, 2008 01:12:25In a press released issued on Tuesday, December 9, Sci Fi Channel announced that there will be 10 webisodes of "Battlestar Galactica" that will provide as a bridge from the season 4 to the new 4.5 that will only come January next year. The webisodes will come twice a week with the first one delivered this week on Friday, December 12 at 12/11c.
Titled "The Face of the Enemy", the webisodes are written by Jane Espenson and Seamus Kevin Fahey, as well as the series' stars Alessandro Juliani and Grace Park. Each webisode is approximately 3-4 minutes long and will round up on January 12, four days before the season 4.5 aka the final season begins.

'Caprica', Prequel to 'Battlestar Galactica' Given a Thumb Up
December 02, 2008 04:12:02It's officially a go for "Battlestar Galactica" prequel titled "Caprica" which story will take place 50 years before Cylons launch their attack on human civilization in "Galactica" and the first Cylon War begins. Sci Fi Channel will air the new series in 2010, with production being kicked off in the middle of 2009 in Vancouver.
"We want people to come to this who have never heard of 'Battlestar Galactica,'" Sci Fi exec Dave Howe said. "I think, because ('Galactica's') backdrop was space and spaceships, there was a barrier to entry for some viewers. 'Caprica' has none of that. It's an intense family drama set on an Earthlike planet, in the near future, speaking to a lot of the ethical dilemmas that we as a human race are going to have to face very shortly."

Brand New Promo of 'Battlestar Galactica' Season 4.5
November 28, 2008 04:11:45Shorter but different from the recently released promo of "Battlestar Galactica", a new sneak peek to the 4.5 season of the Sci-Fi Channel series has been outed. The first half of the fourth season ended with humans and Cylons arriving at Earth which was already irradiated and the new promo gives more view of the deserted planet.
Returning January 16, the second half of the fourth season will serve as the last 10 episodes of the series. Through the first promo of the new season, several plots that can be expected include Roslin asking whether Adama is a Cylon, Chief trying to figure out what he remembers from the Earth, and Starbuck kissing Apollo.
