'Arrested Development' Cast Has Public Reunion at Season 4 Premiere Party
May 01, 2013 12:05:56As the Bluths are going to return on screen after seven years, the stars of "Arrested Development" reunited for the show's season 4 premiere party in Los Angeles. The returning cast, including Jason Bateman, Will Arnett, Portia de Rossi, Tony Hale, Michael Cera, Alia Shawkat, David Cross, Jeffrey Tambor, Jessica Walter and Mae Whitman, were all on hand for the special screening held at the TCL Chinese Theater on Monday, April 29.
Looking sleek in a grey suit and pants matched with blue shirt, Bateman was all smiles as he hit the orange carpet with wife Amanda Anka. Also bringing her partner Ellen DeGeneres to the party, de Rossi said she watched old episodes of "Arrested Development" to prepare for the new shoot. "She did, we looked at them a little bit to remember her character. It just kind of came back to her," DeGeneres assured the reporters.

John Krasinski Lands Cameo on 'Arrested Development'
April 30, 2013 08:04:46John Krasinski has scored a role on another sitcom not long after wrapping up the filming for "The Office", which will air its series finale on May 16. The "License to Wed" star is set to make a cameo appearance in the new season of "Arrested Development", Entertainment Weekly reports.
Details of Krasinski's brief guest spot are yet to be known. He joins other big stars previously announced to appear on the revived comedy, namely Ben Stiller, Seth Rogen, Kristen Wiig, Conan O'Brien, Isla Fisher, John Slattery, Liza Minnelli and Ron Howard.

'Arrested Development' Debuts Clip and Character Posters of Season 4
April 26, 2013 11:04:09With a month left before the launch of "Arrested Development" season 4, Netflix hypes the upcoming premiere by releasing a clip. Making its way out via Entertainment Weekly, the video highlights Lucille and Buster's disturbing mother-and-son relationship.
The hilarious scene shows Buster helping Lucille continue her smoking habit although there's a strict no smoking policy in the building and she wears an ankle monitor that prevents her from approaching the balcony. The clip, however, will not make it into the actual episode since it's just an outtake.

'Arrested Development' Gets Premiere Date and Extra Episode
April 05, 2013 08:04:48Netflix has finally set a premiere date for "Arrested Development" season 4. The Internet streaming media announced on its Twitter page that the new installment of the Mitchell Hurwitz-created series would launch 15 new episodes Sunday, May 26 at 12:01 A.M. PDT.
"We've made a huge mistake! There are actually 15 new episodes of @ArrestedDev on May 26," so it tweeted along with a poster featuring an orange storage compartment with the caption, "The final countdown begins."

Ben Stiller Returns to Netflix's 'Arrested Development'

Stiller previously guest starred in season 2 and 3 of the comedy series, which originally aired on FOX. He joins Seth Rogen, Kristen Wiig, Conan O'Brien, Isla Fisher and John Slattery who are all tapped to guest star on the revived show.

After the long-talked plan to resurrect the show, the comedy series finally gets a new home at the internet-subscription service. Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos announces the good news on Friday, November 18.
20th Century Fox Television and Imagine Television will produce original first-run episodes of the comedy series. The new episodes will be available on members of the DVD rental service starting the first half of 2013.

During a "Bluth Family Reunion" at the New Yorker Festival on Sunday, October 2, creator Mitch Hurwitz revealed the plan to continue the critically acclaimed sitcom with nine or ten new episodes leading to the movie release.
Hurwitz further explained that the episodes, which will air next fall, will each focus on a different Bluth to help catch audiences up on the characters' lives in the years since the series ended in 2006. "They f*** everything up," he gushed about what the family did.
