Jamawn Woods Wins 'America's Next Great Restaurant'
May 02, 2011 01:05:53"America's Next Great Restaurant" has crowned its first ever winner, Jamawn Woods. The reality show by NBC which is a cross between "The Apprentice" and "Top Chef" named Woods' restaurant Soul Daddy as the winner of first season on Sunday, May 1 finale.
Soul Daddy beat Brooklyn Meatball Company and Spice Coast in the final challenge which was made ala "Hell's Kitchen". The finalists were tested with actual diners giving reviews on their meals. Before the soft opening, the restaurateurs were to meet architects to discuss the dining area and design the company's logos.
