'2 Broke Girls' TCA Panel Grows Tense With Questions Over Racial Jokes
January 12, 2012 02:01:40During "2 Broke Girls" panel at the Television Critics Association winter press tour, what was supposed to be a promotional event turned to be an ugly clash with TV reporters. The show's creator Michael Patrick King was involved in a tense argument with critics who kept pressing him with questions surrounding racial jokes on the comedy series.
" '2 Broke Girls' is broad and brash and very current," King claimed when the issue regarding racial and ethnic humor on his show was brought to discussion. "... and it takes place in Williamsburg, New York, which... is a complete mash-up of young, irreverent hipsters, old-school people, different nationalities, different ethnic backgrounds."

CBS Grants '2 Broke Girls' a Full Season Order
October 06, 2011 08:10:22Another new comedy series will stay on the primetime line-up for at least one season. After "New Girl", "Whitney" and "Up All Night", "2 Broke Girls" has been picked up for a full TV season by CBS on Wednesday, October 5.
Starring Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs as two waitresses with different backgrounds who strike a friendship, "2 Broke Girls" is co-created by stand-up comedienne Whitney Cummings and "Sex and the City" executive producer Michael Patrick King. It debuted to 19.4 million viewers and drew 11.4 million people the next week.

'2 Broke Girls' 1.02 Preview: Max Surprised by Horse in the House
September 20, 2011 11:09:47Max and Caroline are moving forward with their plan to team up for a new business venture in the next episode of "2 Broke Girls", but Max has to get used to being with Caroline's horse first. She is shocked to see the animal in their house, but Caroline only wants to keep the horse away from her because it does not know what she is doing for life now.
At the diner, Max continues showing how terrible she is as a waitress when she misinterprets a customer's question about menu as a question about her personal quality. Meanwhile, Caroline thinks she's doing Max a favor when she takes it upon herself to facilitate her break-up with Robbie.
