Because she was the only thing that cared about him! And always calm him down! He is always very protective of her! Cause Ann has a love traingle between Jack and Kong! ITS WEIRD A GORILLA HAVE A CRUSH ON A YOUNG HELPLESS BUT CHARMING GIRL! just like it ends and I cried at the end of the movie! IT WAS BEAUTY THAT KILLED THE BEAST!
