Gwyneth Paltrow is using her knowledge of London life to help fellow Americans make the most of the royal wedding celebrations on Friday.
Gwyneth Paltrow has called the English capital home since she wed Coldplay star Chris Martin - and it's where the couple's kids Moses and Apple go to school.
And the Oscar winner has taken to her weekly Goop.com lifestyle blog to advise royal wedding watchers where to go for best picnic accessories and how to get the best vantage points for the procession to Westminster Abbey.
She writes, "The royal wedding is upon us tomorrow, and if you are in town and want to get close to the action, we've listed the best places for picnic supplies, and also the best, closest parks. If, like me, you're wanting to get out of the fray, we've also listed the best spots out of the wedding melee - many of them are some of the coolest new places in London."
Paltrow's tips include delis Nonna's, Ottolenghi and Daylesford Organic among the best picnic supply places; the St. John Hotel and The Zetter Townhouse the best hotels, and favourite restaurants Trullo, Caravan and Tom's Kitchen and Terrace at the Somerset.
She also urges Goop.com readers in London for the wedding to check out Lily Allen's fashion store Lucy in Disguise, adding, "Sisters Lily and Sarah Allen started their vintage boutique in Covent Garden to much acclaim last year. Now the sisters are venturing into design with their upcoming ready-to-wear collection. It's a great place to visit for their vintage finds from all over the world, and now a beauty bar to make your vintage look complete."
Her useful guide also features a map of the route to Westminster Abbey, where Prince William will wed Kate Middleton.
