The musician - Dutch Tilders, known as Australia's "Godfather of Blues" - passed away on Saturday after losing a battle with cancer.
Dutch Tilders' manager, Lynne Wright, says, "He's encouraged and inspired musicians all across Australia, not just in the blues genre. He had a unique style that will be remembered forever."
Born in the Netherlands, Tilders moved to Australia as a child and began his music career in the 1970s with his self-titled debut album, which was released in 1972. He went on to work with stars including John Mayall and Kevin Borich and became great friends with blues legend B.B. King. Tilders released 14 albums throughout his career and fronted bands including the Elks and the Cyril 'B' Bunter Band.
