'Green Lantern' Effect Worker Slaps Warner Bros. With Lawsuit

Filing the suit on Wednesday, April 6, special effects expert John Franco alleges he suffers 'numerous internal and external injuries' among others while filming the superhero movie on set.

A special effects expert who claims to have worked on the Green Lantern has filed suit against movie bosses alleging he was injured in an accident on the set of the superhero blockbuster. John Franco claims he was hurt while the upcoming film, starring Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively, was shooting on location in Louisiana in July 2010.

He filed a lawsuit on Wednesday, April 6 at Los Angeles Superior Court against numerous companies involved with the film, including Warner Bros. Entertainment, Warner Bros. Pictures Group, DC Comics and South Bay EFX Inc.

The lawsuit states Franco sustained "numerous internal and external injuries, severe fright, shock, pain, discomfort and anxiety," according to the Hollywood Reporter. No more details about the alleged accident were available. Franco is seeking unspecified damages.
