After spotting the bloodied man while driving through Hollywood, the 'True Blood' actor stops his car to help carry the guy to the sidewalk and stays with him until the paramedics arrived.

Aussie star Ryan Kwanten has been hailed a hero after coming to the aid of a bloodied man in Hollywood. The "True Blood" star was driving through Tinseltown on Friday night, April 1 when he spotted the injured man writhing in the street and stopped to see if he could help.

Kwanten called on pedestrians to help him carry the guy to the safety of the sidewalk, according to JustJared.com, and the actor stayed with him until paramedics he called arrived to the scene. An observer noted although people on the street have recognized him as an actor from the vampire drama series, he was "just focused on making sure this guy was okay."

At press time it was not known what had caused the man's injuries. Kwanten's publicists are not speaking with the media about the incident.
