Julia Roberts is in talks to take on Charlize Theron as Snow White's evil stepmother in a rival adaptation of the popular fairy tale. "Monster" star Theron has been cast as the villainous queen in upcoming fantasy film, "Snow White and the Huntsman", while "Twilight" actress Kristen Stewart was linked to the title role.
It has now emerged that Roberts is in talks to play the queen in a similar project called "The Brothers Grimm: Snow White", according to Variety. The film will be produced by "X-Men: The Last Stand" director Brett Ratner.
"The Brothers Grimm: Snow White" has Tarsem Singh attached to direct. The movie is said to be an edgy adult version of the famous tale.
Julia Roberts can next be seen in "Larry Crowne" which is set for July 1 release in the U.S. She stars opposite Tom Hanks in the drama film.
