San Francisco Film Critics Circle and Indiana Film Journalists Awards honor scribe Aaron Sorkin for his writing.

"The Social Network" is continuing to rack up the honors in the run-up to the Oscars. It has been named the best picture of 2010 by the San Francisco Film Critics Circle, the Indiana Film Journalists Awards and the African-American Film Critics Association.

David Fincher's movie, about the invention of Facebook.com, has already garnered favor from critics' groups in New York and Los Angeles, and landed six Golden Globe nominations when the contenders were announced on Tuesday, December 14. And it's earned a further three top accolades from the latest round of awards.

The San Francisco Film Critics Circle praised "The Social Network" and its screenwriter Aaron Sorkin, handing him the Best Adapted Screenplay prize, while Fincher tied with "Black Swan" filmmaker Darren Aronofsky to share the Best Director title. Elsewhere, Colin Firth was named Best Actor for "The King's Speech" and Michelle Williams took home the Best Actress award for "Blue Valentine".

The Indiana Film Journalists Awards also hailed Sorkin for his writing, beating "Inception" to the honor. However, all was not lost for the sci-fi thriller's Christopher Nolan, who claimed best director. Natalie Portman ("Black Swan") and James Franco ("127 Hours") both won the top acting accolades.

Meanwhile, the African-American Film Critics Association also honored Hally Berry for best actress in "Frankie and Alice", and Mark Wahlberg scored the male equivalent for boxing biopic "The Fighter".
