The actresses both scored Academy Award nominations for their roles in the 1991 movie, which tells the story of two women who hit the road to escape their troubled lives.
Davis and Sarandon will return to their characters for a special spread for Vanity Fair magazine to celebrate two decades since the film hit cinemas, according to New York Post gossip column Page Six. The pair was reportedly flown out to Florida for the shoot at a mansion in Miami. The issue will be published next year.
Geena Davis plays Thelma Yvonne Dickinson, and Susan Sarandon portrays Louise Elizabeth Sawyer in the movie which earned six Academy Award nominations and won one for Best Original Screenplay.
