The Beatle called the Aerosmith rocker to do the last four songs in 'Abbey Road' during Kennedy Centre Honors this Sunday.
Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler has agreed to perform some of Sir Paul McCartney's greatest hits at the upcoming Kennedy Center Honors after the Beatles star telephoned and asked him for a musical tribute.
The show will reportedly feature a set from Tyler after McCartney asked him to cover a number of songs from famous The Beatles album "Abbey Road". Tyler tells American radio station 95.9 WATD-FM, "I also got called up by Sir Paul McCartney and he asked me to sing the last four songs of Abbey Road, so I said 'Umm OK.' (I'm) doing it. So I'm headed down to the Kennedy honors in Washington."
The award is handed to performers to recognize their contribution to American culture. Previous honorees include Bob Dylan, Barbra Streisand and Sir Elton John.
