'Exit Through the Gift Shop' and 'Rise and Fall of Eliot Spitzer' Considered for Oscar


The film about quirky British artist Banksy and 'Client 9: The Rise and Fall of Eliot Spitzer' are shortlisted for Oscar consideration, competing 'Gasland', 'The Lottery' and more.

Films about quirky British artist Banksy and disgraced former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer have been named among the 15 documentaries shortlisted for Oscar consideration. "Banksy's "Exit Through the Gift Shop" and "Client 9: The Rise and Fall of Eliot Spitzer" will compete with "Gasland", "The Lottery", "Enemies of The People" and "Genius Within: The Inner Life of Glenn Gould", among others, for an Academy Awards nomination in January 2011.

The Best Documentary Feature Oscar will be presented at the 83rd Academy Awards on February 27, 2011.

As for Oscars favorites for movie of the year are "The King's Speech" and "The Social Network". The 83rd Academy Awards nominations will be announced on January 25, 2011.
