Michael Douglas' Ex-Wife Fails to Squirt Money Out of Him
Celebrity

Diandra Douglas wanted a sum of money the actor earned from 'Wall Street 2' because their divorce papers entitled her to the original film's spin-off.

AceShowbiz - A New York judge has dismissed Michael Douglas' ex-wife's bid to land 50 per cent of the profits from the "Wall Street" sequel. Diandra Douglas, who split from the actor in 2000, took legal action against her former spouse over the summer seeking a share of his pay cheque from his movie "Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps".

She claimed her divorce deal entitled her to half her ex-husband's salary from projects he worked on during their marriage, and any possible "spin-offs" of his previous films, including the original 1987 "Wall Street". However, Judge Matthew Cooper dismissed the case at Manhattan's Supreme Court on Monday, November 15, because the Big Apple was not the right jurisdiction for it to be heard.

Michael Douglas' lawyer Marilyn Chinitz says, "It's been dismissed out of New York. I don't know if she'll bring a lawsuit in California. But I think it would be foolish to do so and will be dismissed on the merits."
