Oprah Winfrey thrilled students from her academy in South Africa by flying them to the U.S. and introducing them to President Barack, according to reports. The chat show queen launched the Leadership Academy for Girls near Johannesburg eight years ago to improve education for local youngsters.
And she has shown the project is still close to her heart by jetting a group of 63 students to the States to visit leading universities including Harvard and Stanford. Winfrey even used her influence to arrange a visit to the White House to meet the president before throwing a party for the group at her estate in Santa Barbara, California, according to the Montecito Journal.
Oprah Winfrey was recently named one of Forbes' World's 100 Most Powerful Women. She makes the list along with Lady GaGa, Beyonce Knowles and U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama.
