Lady GaGa's First Public Outing After Granddad's Death

The controversial singer chose to go to The Oak Room bar in New York City and surprised fans with a short set.

Lady GaGa surprised fans in New York City on Wednesday, September 29 night by appearing on stage at a bar in Manhattan. The singer enjoyed an evening out at The Oak Room bar inside the city's famous Plaza Hotel and treated fellow guests to a short set.

GaGa's appearance was kept secret until shortly before the show when it was announced on the venue's Twitter.com page. The "Poker Face" hitmaker turned heads by arriving wearing little more than fishnet nights and a hairy waistcoat to cover her modesty.

The performance marks GaGa's first public outing since the death of her grandfather last week and his funeral on Monday, September 27.
