Confirming the news, his wife Christiev reveals they adopted the baby after failing to conceive a second child biologically.
Country music singer Big Kenny is the proud father of a newly-adopted baby boy. The "Big & Rich" singer, real name Kenny Alphin, welcomed son Dakota Jefferson Holiday Alphin with his wife, Christiev, in July.
Dakota, now nine months old, is little brother to the couple's four-and-a-half-year-old son, Lincoln William. Christiev confirmed the news to People.com on Friday, September 17, revealing they decided to adopt after failing to conceive a second child biologically.
She said, "Having Lincoln as an only child was wonderful but I come from a large family and I didn't want him alone. Even when Kenny and I were dating I asked him about adoption and he said absolutely, so our hearts and minds were open."
