Rocker Scott Weiland is set to reveal all about his battle with drug addiction and his newfound sobriety when his long-awaited autobiography is released next March. The singer has talked about the tome for three years - and he's finally agreed with publishers at Simon & Schuster on a tentative release for "Not Dead & Not For Sale".

Weiland was kicked out of rock band Velvet Revolver in April 2008 and has since been touring as a member of the reunited Stone Temple Pilots. But in the months before the split, he revealed he was overwhelmed by the prospect of chronicling his life. He told Reuters in November 2007: "It's a weird thing. You make a lot of records, write a lot of songs, but all of a sudden you go into a whole different vein, and it's a little bit scary to dive into."

According to Blabbermouth.net, Weiland's memoir will focus on his rise to stardom, and how his life has changed now that he's "sober". It was not revealed if details of his fallout with Velvet Revolver will be featured.

News of Weiland's release comes nearly one year after his ex-wife Mary Forsberg published her own autobiography, "Fall to Pieces", last October 2009, revealing details about the break-up of their marriage and the rocker's drug use.
