Before announcing that he would be absent from the micro blogging site for several days, the rapper said he's trying to master the sports.
Rap hardman 50 Cent has found himself a new hobby - the hip-hop star has taken up golf. The "In Da Club" hitmaker admits he was inspired to try the sport by golf fanatic Samuel L. Jackson and he is determined to learn to play as well as the actor.
In a post on his Twitter.com page, 50 Cent writes, "I'm learnin' how to play golf. Samuel Jackson is good! I gotta get my game together. I be (sic) at Chelsea Piers (resort in New York) workin' on it. I'll get good fast watch."
However, fans may not find any other tweets from the rapper in a week's time. He said he's giving up the micro blogging site for a week to concentrate on his new album "The Return of the Heartless Monster". Bidding his goodbye, he wrote on September 1, "Ok ladies and [gentlemen] I'm writing my new album. I will not be on twitter again till Sept 6. This album will be a classic."
