The British rocker has welcomed a son with wife Candice Night in May and claims the baby serves as 'inspiration' for his new band's upcoming album.
British rocker Ritchie Blackmore has become a dad again at 65 - the musician has welcomed a daughter with his singer/songwriter wife, Candice Night. The former Deep Purple guitarist and Rainbow frontman welcomed Autumn Esmerelda with 39-year-old Night on May 27, reports Blabbermouth.net.
The couple, which married in 2008, currently perform together as folk rock duo Blackmore's Night. And Blackmore, whose real name is Richard Hugh Blackmore, claims the happy couple's the new addition is already serving as "inspiration" for the band's new CD, "Autumn Sky", set for release later this year.
Autumn is Blackmore's second child - he also has a son with his first wife, Margrit Volkmar, who was born in 1964.
