Beyonce Almost Hit by Car in London

The door of her parked car was almost struck by a passing Taxi shortly before she got out of the vehicle.

Beyonce Knowles had a close call during a shopping trip on Tuesday, July 6 after a taxi reportedly ripped off the door of her private car moments before she stepped out. The "Irreplaceable" hitmaker, in London since watching her husband Jay-Z's gig at the Wireless festival on Sunday, July 4, had set off with the rapper to pay a visit to luxury department store Harrods before a restaurant date in the British capital.

But the trip nearly ended in tragedy after Beyonce narrowly avoided being hit by a London cab, which collided with her parked car's open door as it sped past, according to Britain's The Sun newspaper. A source tells the publication, "It was terrifying to watch. It all happened so quickly, the taxi came out of nowhere. She seemed very shaken and was lucky to be alive. A couple of seconds' difference and God knows what could have happened."

The couple was later picked up by a replacement car.
