Elvis Presley's Lost Tour Footage to Be Featured in New Documentary


The new movie will be released in limited U.S. cinemas at the end of July to mark what would have been his 75th anniversary.

Lost footage of Elvis Presley on tour is to feature in a remastered documentary, which will be released to mark what would have been the King's 75th year. "Elvis on Tour: 75th Anniversary Celebration" will be released to cinemas for a limited run at the end of July.

The new movie will include remastered concert footage from a 1972 documentary and interviews and footage from "Elvis on Tour", Presley's final film before his death in 1977. Much of the footage has never been seen before.

Presley would have turned 75 on 8 January, 2011. Meanwhile, three never-before-seen photos of Presley greeting fans at the gates of his Graceland home in Memphis, Tennessee have been discovered in an unmarked envelope among the business files of the late superstar's father, Vernon. The photos will be part of an exhibit at Graceland in Memphis, which will run during Elvis Week in August.
