Her second nuptials to Alex Reid was disrupted when fans, photographers and security guards all tried to get a glimpse of the bride.
Katie Price's second wedding to cage fighter Alex Reid descended into chaos on Saturday, July 3 after police were called to break up a mass brawl between between fans, photographers and security guards.
The British glamor model-turned-reality TV star married her second husband Reid in Las Vegas in February and they arranged to celebrate their nuptials with another ceremony in their native U.K. this weekend. But the wedding, held at St Paul's Church in Surrey, England, was severely disrupted as the bride arrived at the venue when well-wishers and snappers gathered outside reportedly clashed with security guards who attempted to push them back.
Price - also known as Jordan - was allegedly hit in the face when the crowd surged forward as she exited her vehicle. One fan was knocked to the ground and several photographers claim to have been forcefully pushed away by security guards.
Young fan Connor Hambleton, 13, tells The People newspaper, "It just all went mad. Everyone was getting pushed and shoved out of the way... I fell and hit my head." Police officers arrived on the scene to break up the brawl and they have launched an investigation into the incident. Sergeant Dan Gutierrez, of Surrey police, says, "All allegations made to officers will be investigated."
A representative for the couple's security company, Knights Security, says, "Katie was spooked and wanted to leave and go round the block after she was hit in the eye... She was just scared. It took a while for the situation to calm down." A spokeswoman for Price adds, "She is understandably shaken and upset by the actions of these people."
