For their philanthropy efforts, the band have received Nordoff-Robbins honor at the July 2 event in London.

Rockers Muse were hailed for their philanthropy efforts at London's 2010 Silver Clef Awards on Friday, July 2. The "Supermassive Black Hole" stars took to the stage at the annual ceremony to accept the Nordoff-Robbins honor, recognizing their work for charity.

The prize comes a year after the group turned down the chance to receive the award, insisting they didn't deserve the title from the music therapy foundation. Veteran crooner Tony Bennett was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award for his 60-year career, while guitar legend Slash was named Ambassador of Rock.

Other winners included British rapper Dizzee Rascal, who collected the Digital Innovation accolade, while R&B singer Kelis was handed the International Award and Scouting for Girls was crowned Best British Band. Rock matriarch Sharon Osbourne hosted the awards.
