The unconventional band's frontwoman Ana Matronic gave a shout out to a 1960s serial killer Bible John during their performance in Glasgow.
The Scissor Sisters have come under fire from fans in Scotland after they dedicated a song during a recent show in Glasgow to an infamous serial killer. The band was performing at Glasgow's Barrowlands venue on Wednesday, June 16 night, when singer Ana Matronic gave a 'shout-out' to 'Bible John' - the name of an unidentified killer who murdered three young women in the city during the 1960s. The killer was never caught.
She told the audience, "I would like to dedicate the next song to Bible John." But fans at the event were left aghast by the dedication. One concertgoer tells Britain's The Sun, "The Scissor Sisters are a bit weird but that was a bit crass."
"It doesn't matter how young you are, everyone in Glasgow knows about the murders. The victims must have relatives who are still alive so it maybe wasn't the wisest move."
