Black Eyed Peas star will.i.am has revealed he achieved the near-impossible - he brought pop superstar rivals Michael Jackson and Prince together backstage at a show in Las Vegas. Details of the 2008 summit meeting have remained top secret - until now.
In the upcoming issue of Rolling Stone, the "I Gotta Feeling" hitmaker admits he arranged for his pals to meet up in the hope they could finally put a misunderstanding at a 1983 James Brown concert behind them. The singer/songwriter explains Prince was performing in Sin City and asked will.i.am to join him onstage.
The Black Eyed Peas star jumped at the chance and asked if he could bring his friend Michael. will.i.am recalls, "I told Quincy (Jones), and he was like, 'I can't believe you got Mike to go there'. Prince and Michael Jackson? Come on, dude. That's connecting worlds."

alright, MJ had about two albums worth of great songs, but Prince was more prolific and had several killer albums from his rocking funk songs to his electro pop in the late 80s. MJ was the better performer, a real born entertainer, no doubt. MJ is the Beatles, Prince is the Stones, but I like the light and the dark, or in other terms MJ is Paul to Prince's John. Prince- sex MJ - after sex. And will.i.am sucks ass. The Black Eyed Peas are rip-off artists (a string of their songs are ripped directly from unknown electronic pop acts) and they will NEVER be remembered for doing anything of note.

prince is the king of music. He is a genius and not an commerciall star.

What, they are both good on different levels. Mike is a gentle good sort of way, and Prince, well, good in a bad sort of way, his lyrics are ahead of their times, thought provoking, and out of the box. I like that about Prince. They both had two different styles, MJ was more successful because he was safe. People feared and hated on Prince, because he was different, and thought ahead of his time. I like them both for different reason. But if I truly want to be entertained mentally, I go for Prince. His music is second to none. Some of his songs are not for the easy music listener like Michael's are. Price is more gritty. lol Michael more commercial music. Both good artists in their own rights. Prince underappreciated in my honest opinion. Ear and Mind Candy he is.
Real Talk - safe? Oh no.. you did not just call Michael Jackson safe. How the heck was he safe? Thats probably the worst possible word you could think of Michael's music is not commercial either... o.O I don't think you understand MJ's genius.
Michael wanted prince to sing on "Bad" with him, prince turned him down. I dig them both Michael was a great entertainer and dancer, Prince is a hell of a musician and entertainer.

Didn't even know they had a falling out considering they never really worked together ever. Michael liked to collaborate with lots of artists and I know at one point he wanted Prince to be in his 'BAD' video. Michael and Prince were very different from each other. If there were an bad air between them, they both did not make it any bigger than what it was. So when and how did Michael Jackson and Prince had a falling out?
